Adams and Broomfield Counties, CO – The date is set and you’re invited! Join Broomfield Mayor Pat Quinn and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams & Broomfield Counties for a cup of coffee and great conversation from 8 – 10 a.m. on Thurs., August 19th at Great Scotts Eatery. Mayor Quinn will be at Great Scotts, located at 7510 US Highway 287 in Broomfield , to help provide support for abused and neglected children in our community during Dining Out for CASA. The Dining Out event runs all day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with 15 percent of food sales benefitting CASA.
To date, Great Scotts has raised more than $1,000 for CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties , which was used to recruit and train volunteer advocates to help ensure that child victims of abuse and neglect are kept from further harm. The restaurant is one of several owned by local restaurateur Justin Abrams, who has quickly become one of CASA’s most ardent supporters in the fight against child abuse.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of innocent child victims of abuse and neglect. Each year, in Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 1,300 children who have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused or neglected, and who are in desperate need of a caring, committed CASA Volunteer to speak up for their best interests. In Adams and Broomfield Counties , there are over 200 CASA volunteers, and we are in need of more great community members to become advocates for children.
