YPP Art Event Brings $1,000 for CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties

Adams & Broomfield Counties, CO – The Young Philanthropist Project of Adams & Broomfield Counties hosted its first annual “Canvas and Cocktails for CASA” event on Monday, Sept. 27th, raising more than $1,000 for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). The event, which featured a creative evening of art instruction, food, dessert and cocktails, was held at Canvas and Cocktails in Cherry Creek and enjoyed a capacity crowd of 70 guests.
“Canvas and Cocktails for CASA” was made possible through the generous support of event sponsors, including Kiddie Academy of Brighton, The Bagel Bakery and Cupcake Shoppe, Three Tomatoes Catering, and Canvas and Cocktails.

The Young Philanthropist Project (YPP) is a group of philanthropists in their 20s, 30s and early 40s that work to reach out to the community in support of CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties. This group, which was founded in October 2009 and consists of approximately 25 young community-minded individuals, has now raised more than $10,000 to help provide volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in Adams and Broomfield Counties . CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of innocent child victims of abuse and neglect. Each year, in Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 1,300 children who have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused or neglected, and who are in desperate need of a caring, committed CASA Volunteer to speak up for their best interests. In Adams and Broomfield Counties , there are over 200 CASA volunteers, and we are in need of more great community members to become advocates for children.
