The Thornton Community Food Drive is underway and it's even bigger than ever.The drive runs through December 17, and additional drop-off locations have been added to make it even easier for residents to take part. Items can be dropped off at: the Thornton Community Center, 2211 Eppinger Blvd., Carpenter Recreation Center , 11151 Colorado Blvd., Senior Center, 9471 Dorothy Blvd., and all five Thornton Fire Stations:

All non-perishable items are accepted, especially helpful are canned pumpkin, pie crust mix, canned vegetables, and instant potato mix. This year the food will be donated to a number of food distribution sites:
· Crossroads Church,
· Thornton Food Bank,
· Immaculate Heart of Mary,
· and Westminster Methodist.
