Volunteer teams needed to help seniors and people with disabilities

Volunteer teams are needed to help paint, conduct light repairs and clean yards on Saturday, May 7, during this year’s sixth annual Help for Homes, for seniors and the disabled. Approximately eight to 10 volunteers are needed per team. Teams can be made up of friends, people from a neighborhood, club, church or family. Individuals and smaller groups will be assigned to a team.

A team captain meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, at the Brighton Senior Center, 575 Bush.

To volunteer, visit www.brightonco.gov and click on “Departments” and then “Senior Center.” The deadline to sign-up a volunteer team is Friday, April 15. Individuals can sign-up through Wednesday, April 27, and will be assigned to a team.
