In the spirit of the holiday season, the Greater Brighton Neighborhood Volunteers will be collecting items for our local chapters of Ugly Quilts (http://www.uglyquilts.org/) and Warm Hearts, Warm Babies (http://www.warmheartswarmbabies.org/). We will also be collecting paperback books/magazines for the juvenile facility here in Adams County. (Keep in mind these books or magazines cannot contain material that is violent or overtly sexual in nature.) This is a great opportunity to do a bit of winter cleaning in your home and donate your unwanted items to local charities who can and will use them. It is also a perfect time (if you are hosting a holiday party) to ask your guests to bring a donation item for the GBNV collection drive which benefits our local community.
