Adams & Broomfield Counties, CO – Las Delicias, a local Mexican restaurant located at 7610 Conifer Road in Denver , presented CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties with a donation of $1,166.00 in December. The restaurant partnered with CASA, a non-profit organization that provides advocacy for children who have suffered from abuse and neglect in our community for a “Dining Out for CASA” event to help raise much needed funds for the organization. CASA will use the funds to help recruit and train caring volunteer advocates to help ensure that children who have been abused and neglected are kept safe from further harm.“Normally, the week days are very slow for us,” Luis Torres, General Manager of Las Delicias said. “But when we host Dining Out for CASA, we are always very busy. It is a win-win for us.”
Las Delicias has hosted three Dining Out for CASA events over the past two years, helping to raise more than $3,000 for CASA. “It is through the support of committed businesses such as Las Delicias that we are able to help fight child abuse,” Simone Jones, CASA Executive Director said. “CASA encourages restaurant owners throughout Adams and Broomfield Counties to join in the fight against child abuse by hosting a Dining Out for CASA fundraiser at their establishments.”

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of innocent child victims of abuse and neglect. Each year, in Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 1,300 children who have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused or neglected, and who are in desperate need of a caring, committed CASA Volunteer to speak up for their best interests. In Adams and Broomfield Counties , there are over 200 CASA volunteers, and we are in need of more great community members to become advocates for children.
