Op Ed from our 17th Judicial District Attorney, Don Quick

In my 24 years as a prosecutor, I have seen firsthand the innocent children in our community who have been abused and neglected. These children live too often in the shadows of our community. Too often, we do not have contact with these children who need and deserve our help the most. They may be in your child's kindergarten class or at the park where your children play. You just don't know.

"GIVING THANKS TO A CAREGIVER" FOOD DRIVE {SOUTH ADAMS COUNTY FIRE STATION #4}

It's that time of the year again where we start to think about special things for the holidays. For A Caretaker's Wish it's the time we start to think about what we can do for Caregivers in the community. Those in Caregiving situations often dread this time of year mainly because there is only one income in the family. The "Giving Thanks to a Caregiver" program has been implemented to show Caregivers we are grateful for their everyday service to care for others who otherwise could not care for themselves. As our way to show appreciation to our Caregivers, A Caretaker's Wish is collecting food donations to provide Thanksgiving meals for as many Caregivers and their families as possible. Thanksgiving Food boxes will be delivered to families between November 21-23.
